Chirer Doi (Flattened Rice Yogurt)
A traditional Bengali drink made with flattened rice and yogurt, Chirer Ghol is a wholesome and cooling beverage often enjoyed during hot weather.- Ingredients:
- 1 cup flattened rice (chira)
- 2 cups yogurt
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1 cup cold water
- Instructions:
- Wash and soak the flattened rice in water for 10 minutes.
- Blend the soaked rice with yogurt, sugar, salt, and roasted cumin powder.
- Add cold water and mix well.
- Chill and serve.
