Lemon and Mango Pickle


Ingredients:

  • 4-5 raw mangoes, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup mustard oil

Process:

  1. Wash and dry the mango pieces thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, mix mango pieces with turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
  3. Pour lemon juice over the mangoes and mix well.
  4. Heat mustard oil and let it cool, then add to the mixture.
  5. Add mustard seeds and mix well.
  6. Transfer to a clean, dry glass jar.
Seal tightly and let it sit in a sunny spot for 7-10 days, shaking the jar daily.
