Pickled Mango Chutney


Ingredients:

  • 4-5 raw mangoes, cut into pieces
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp mustard seeds
  • 2 tbsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vinegar

Process:

  1. Wash and dry the mango pieces thoroughly.
  2. In a bowl, mix mango pieces with red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
  3. Heat vinegar until warm, then mix it with sugar until dissolved.
  4. Pour the vinegar-sugar mixture over the mangoes and mix well.
  5. Add mustard seeds and mix again.
  6. Transfer to a clean, dry glass jar.
  7. Seal tightly and let it sit in a sunny spot for 7-10 days, shaking the jar daily.
