Pickled Mango Chutney
Ingredients:
- 4-5 raw
mangoes, cut into pieces
- 1/2 cup
sugar
- 1 tbsp
mustard seeds
- 2 tbsp red
chili powder
- 1 tsp
turmeric powder
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1/2 cup
vinegar
Process:
- Wash and dry
the mango pieces thoroughly.
- In a bowl,
mix mango pieces with red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Heat vinegar
until warm, then mix it with sugar until dissolved.
- Pour the
vinegar-sugar mixture over the mangoes and mix well.
- Add mustard
seeds and mix again.
- Transfer to
a clean, dry glass jar.
- Seal tightly
and let it sit in a sunny spot for 7-10 days, shaking the jar daily.
