Keema Paratha is a savory Indian flatbread stuffed with spiced minced meat, often lamb or chicken. It’s hearty and packed with flavor.
Ingredients
For the Dough:
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon oil or ghee (optional)
- Water, as needed (around 3/4 to 1 cup)
For the Keema Filling:
- 1 cup minced meat (lamb or chicken)
- 1-2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Salt, to taste
For Cooking the Paratha:
- Ghee, butter, or oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Mix flour, salt, and water to make a smooth dough. Let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- Prepare the Filling: In a pan, cook the minced meat with spices, green chilies, and salt until fully cooked and dry. Add coriander leaves and let the mixture cool.
- Stuff and Roll the Paratha: Roll out a dough ball, add filling, seal it, and roll it gently to prevent tearing.
- Cook the Paratha: Fry on a hot skillet with ghee or oil until golden and crispy on both sides.
