Classic Dhaka Style Borhani
Description: This traditional version of Borhani is rich in flavors with a blend of yogurt, mint, spices, and herbs. It’s tangy, slightly spicy, and served cold to refresh the palate.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 1 tsp black salt
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp mustard paste
- 1/2 tsp green chili paste
- 1 tbsp mint leaves, chopped
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- Fresh coriander leaves for
garnish
Process:
- Whisk the yogurt in a bowl until
smooth.
- Add cold water, black salt,
roasted cumin powder, mustard paste, green chili paste, and chopped mint
leaves. Mix well.
- Adjust the sugar if you prefer a
slightly sweet taste.
- Refrigerate for at least 30
minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve chilled, garnished with
fresh coriander leaves.
