Classic Dhaka Style Borhani
Description: This traditional version of Borhani is rich in flavors with a blend of yogurt, mint, spices, and herbs. It’s tangy, slightly spicy, and served cold to refresh the palate.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups plain yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 1 tsp black salt
  • 1 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/2 tsp mustard paste
  • 1/2 tsp green chili paste
  • 1 tbsp mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Process:

  1. Whisk the yogurt in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Add cold water, black salt, roasted cumin powder, mustard paste, green chili paste, and chopped mint leaves. Mix well.
  3. Adjust the sugar if you prefer a slightly sweet taste.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. Serve chilled, garnished with fresh coriander leaves.
