Samosa Variations

1. Classic Potato Samosa

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Green chilies (chopped)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Steps:

  1. Mix flour, salt, and oil. Add water and knead into a dough.
  2. Cook cumin seeds, mashed potatoes, and spices.
  3. Form dough into cones, fill with potato filling, seal, and fry until golden.

2. Chicken Samosa

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup minced chicken
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste

Steps:

  1. Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger in oil.
  2. Add chicken and spices. Cook until dry.
  3. Fill the samosa dough with chicken filling and fry.

3. Vegetable Samosa

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, potatoes)
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps:

  1. Sauté cumin seeds, add vegetables, and cook with spices.
  2. Make samosa cones, fill with vegetables, and fry.
