Samosa Variations
1. Classic Potato Samosa
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 4 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Green chilies (chopped)
- Salt to taste
- Oil for frying
Steps:
- Mix flour, salt, and oil. Add water and knead into a dough.
- Cook cumin seeds, mashed potatoes, and spices.
- Form dough into cones, fill with potato filling, seal, and fry until golden.
2. Chicken Samosa
Ingredients:
- 1 cup minced chicken
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
Steps:
- Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger in oil.
- Add chicken and spices. Cook until dry.
- Fill the samosa dough with chicken filling and fry.
3. Vegetable Samosa
Ingredients:
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, potatoes)
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Steps:
- Sauté cumin seeds, add vegetables, and cook with spices.
- Make samosa cones, fill with vegetables, and fry.
