Piyaju Variations
1. Classic Lentil Piyaju
Ingredients:
- 1 cup red lentils (soaked)
- 1 onion (chopped)
- Green chilies (chopped)
- 1 tsp turmeric
- Salt to taste
Steps:
- Blend lentils into a thick paste.
- Mix with onions, chilies, and spices.
- Shape into small balls and fry until golden.
2. Onion Piyaju
Ingredients:
- 2 large onions (sliced)
- 1/2 cup lentil flour
- Green chilies
- Cumin seeds
- Salt to taste
Steps:
- Mix onions, lentil flour, chilies, and cumin seeds.
- Deep-fry spoonfuls of the mixture until crispy.
3. Spinach Piyaju
Ingredients:
- 1 cup lentils (soaked and blended)
- 1 cup chopped spinach
- 1 onion (chopped)
- Spices (cumin, coriander, turmeric)
Steps:
- Mix lentils, spinach, onions, and spices.
- Fry spoonfuls of the mixture in oil.
